Gardener Contracted with New School Falls

This afternoon a man fell outside of the 65 W 11th St building at the New School, sustaining a broken leg and a fractured ankle. He was rushed to the hospital soon after.

At 2:20 p.m., a independent gardener contracted by the New School, Juan David Rivera, fell through grating while landscaping. Security immediately contacted the New York City Police and Fire Department, who responded within minutes, lifting the man from the ground. He was rushed to Bellevue Hospital Trauma Center in stable condition.
